Alongside Bart’s injury, the team placed left-handed pitcher Chris Murphy on the 15-day injured list due to a left flexor strain. Right-handed pitcher David Sandlin joins the roster from Charlotte.

Bart’s injury occurred in the seventh inning of a 12-11 loss to the Boston Red Sox. The incident took place during Thursday’s extended game at Fenway Park. Sox manager Will Venable expressed disappointment, noting the excitement surrounding Bart’s acquisition. Venable highlighted Bart’s potential contribution to the team’s competitive games at season’s end.
