The Chicago mayoral election is scheduled for February 23, 2027. Nine candidates have already launched campaigns, but more are expected to enter the race in the coming months. Candidates Who Have Announced

The collection of nominating petitions starts on July 28, with candidates needing 12,500 signatures to appear on the ballot. Those failing to meet this requirement might not make it through the process. If no candidate receives over 50% of the vote, a runoff will occur on April 6, 2027, followed by the inauguration in May.

Willie Wilson
