Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers Rivalry Intensifies

The heated rivalry between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers is one of the most storied in NFL history. It began over a century ago and continued into last season, culminating in three memorable meetings. Two of these games showcased thrilling victories for the Bears, who secured a postseason win as the NFC North champs and held the NFC’s No. 2 seed.

Sadly, Tucker Kraft, a key member of the Packers’ receiving corps, missed these encounters due to a season-ending torn ACL in November 2025. Despite not participating, Kraft shared his thoughts on facing the Bears in the upcoming season during an interview with Kay Adams on “Up & Adams with Kay Adams.” He expressed that the opponent does not matter as much as performing well on the field. “It doesn’t matter who the opponent is when I get the ball in my hands. I’m trying to stress the defense as much as I can, first and foremost,” Kraft explained. He strives to make the first defender miss and capitalizes on opportunities.

Kraft acknowledged the rekindled rivalry with the Bears, stating, “I don’t necessarily have a team I dislike more in the NFC North. I don’t like any of them, but the Bears—that rivalry has built over the last year, and I will capitalize on every opportunity I get.” Despite playing only eight of 17 games last season, Kraft ranked third among his team’s receivers with 489 yards and six touchdowns on 32 receptions.

The Packers could have benefited from Kraft’s presence during crucial games against the Bears. They lost a thrilling NFC Wild Card Round game in Chicago, 31-27. Quarterback Jordan Love threw for 323 yards and four touchdowns. The Packers initially led 21-6 after three quarters before the Bears’ offense surged in the fourth quarter, outscoring their rivals 25-6. The game featured a remarkable throw from Caleb Williams to DJ Moore for the go-ahead score. Moore, however, will not be part of the Bears’ roster this season, following his trade to the Buffalo Bills.

Many believe the Packers, with a healthy lineup including Kraft, could outperform the Bears this season. Their first showdown occurs in Week 5, with the game set in Green Bay on Sunday, Oct. 11. The teams will meet again on Christmas Day in Chicago, with Netflix broadcasting the game.
