Senator Mark Warner from Virginia, a Democrat, is seeking a fourth term. In this election cycle, he is running unopposed by fellow Democrats in the primary.
Three Republican candidates are vying to challenge Warner in the upcoming general election. The candidates include Kim Farington, a certified public accountant; Bert Mizusawa, a retired Army Major General; and David Williams, a Marine Corps reservist and former diplomat.
This competition among the Republican contenders will determine who will face the incumbent Senator Warner in the general election.
