Rep. Marcy Kaptur from Ohio was involved in a car accident near Toledo on Sunday morning. Her office issued a statement to inform the public about the incident.
According to her office, Kaptur was heading to church when the accident occurred. She sustained injuries but they are not considered life-threatening. Her office provided reassurance, stating, “This morning, Congresswoman Kaptur was a passenger in a vehicle on her way to a church service when the car she was traveling in was struck. She is active, alert, and being treated for non-life threatening injuries.”
The incident is still under investigation by officials. “We look forward to additional information from Toledo Police as they investigate the accident,” her office added in their statement.
