Marvel Announces New Black Panther and Ghost Rider at Comic-Con

At the Comic-Con International presentation, Marvel Studios made a significant announcement. David Jonsson is set to become the new Black Panther. Director Ryan Coogler revealed this development to an excited audience. Jonsson will portray the son of Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa.

The announcement took place with the Oscar-winning director alongside actors Letitia Wright and Winston Duke. Jonsson expressed his gratitude, stating, “Thank you to this family that I have the honor and the blessing to join. I don’t want to say too much, because I want to let the screen do the talking.” The 32-year-old actor previously appeared in works such as “Industry,” “The Long Walk,” and “Alien: Romulus.” The new installment, “Black Panther III,” is scheduled for release in December 2028.

Following this, another casting highlight emerged. Ryan Gosling will enter the Marvel cinematic universe as Ghost Rider. He will reunite with director Shawn Levy, previously known for “Star Wars: Starfighter.” This film is also targeted for a 2028 release. Gosling expressed his enthusiasm to Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige. His partner, Eva Mendes, had starred in the 2007 “Ghost Rider” film with Nicolas Cage. Since then, the character’s film rights reverted to Marvel, despite no previous appearance in the MCU.

Additionally, Feige shared plans to re-release Joe and Anthony Russo’s 2019 film “Avengers: Endgame.” This version, available in theaters from September 25, will include new footage to connect it with the Russos’ upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday,” set for release on December 18.

The panel attracted immense interest, with many fans waiting over a day to attend. Featured stars included Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal, exciting attendees with their appearances.
