Joe Biden and Hunter Biden Surprise Barstool Sports Personality Jersey Jerry

1 week ago 0

Former President Joe Biden, alongside his son Hunter Biden, made a surprise appearance in a recorded video featuring Barstool Sports personality “Jersey Jerry.” They presented him with the “Lib of the Year” award after securing the title for the third consecutive year during the “Pardon My Take” Takie Awards episode.

Jerry appeared genuinely stunned as Hunter Biden’s video showcased the former president. “What the f—? I was not expecting that,” Jerry exclaimed.

Hunter Biden initiated the video by acknowledging their mutual experience with recovery. He then congratulated Jerry on his continued success in winning the award.

Joe Biden and Hunter Biden both expressed a shared sense of pride in Jerry’s achievement. “Jerry, congratulations on the Lib of the Year award. I know you didn’t have much competition, but I’m still proud of you,” Hunter Biden remarked as his father joined him.

Joe Biden echoed his son’s sentiments, “We were both proud of you. Hey, Jerry, congratulations. Keep the faith, Jerry. Congratulations, dude.” Jerry found it difficult to accept the cameo as the show’s hosts stressed the significance of a former president participating in the comedy sports show’s award presentation.

The surprise video concluded with Jerry’s disbelief. “Serious? What are we doing?” he questioned as the hosts replayed the video at his request. Jerry humorously thanked Biden by using a nickname popularized by President Donald Trump. “All right, Sleepy Joe. Thank you, brother,” he quipped.

Dan “Big Cat” Katz, co-host of “Pardon My Take,” highlighted the historical significance of the award presentation. “Forty-five men have served in 47 presidencies. You have one of them presenting you a Takey for Lib of the Year. Just let that set in for a second. That’s history,” Katz explained.

Jerry conceded, “That is history right there. It’s incredible. The president knows who I am.” His revelation prompted reactions online. Barstool founder Dave Portnoy remarked, “I gasped,” expressing astonishment

Jack Mac and Geoff Schwartz, both personalities affiliated with Barstool, shared similar sentiments over the unexpected appearance. “I gasped when the second special guest popped on screen,” Jack Mac stated. Schwartz also professed his surprise, “This is great. Did not expect the end of the video.”

The extensive episode featured over 28 awards, including “Take of the Year” and “Blake of the Year.” The Takies serve as the podcast’s annual parody awards.

In the previous ceremony in 2025, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg had awarded Jerry his second consecutive title, motivating him to achieve a three-peat. Buttigieg complimented Jerry’s “evolving perspective on immigration” and openness “to the idea that vaccines actually work.”
