The ESPY Awards made a triumphant return to New York City, honoring the year’s top athletes, teams, and memorable sports moments. This marked a significant change as the event shifted back to New York after spending two decades in Los Angeles.
The ceremony took place at Lincoln Center, attracting some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment. Prominent figures such as Alysa Liu, Stephen Curry, Mikaela Shiffrin, Ilona Maher, and Simone Biles graced the red carpet, creating an evening of glitz and glamour.
Among the notable attendees were Myles Garrett and Chloe Kim, alongside Gretchen Walsh and Jimmy Satos. Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral and Marcello Hernández also made appearances, with Hernandez hosting the awards in the David H. Koch Theater.

The Arthur Ashe award for courage went posthumously to Jason Collins, with Jarron Collins accepting on his behalf. Karl-Anthony Towns and Ilona Maher presented an award for Best Athlete in Women’s Sports, adding to the evening’s commendation of excellence.
Simone Biles and Fat Joe honored the New York Knicks with the Best Team award, reflecting their achievements in team sports. Jim Abbott accepted the Jimmy V award, symbolizing perseverance in sports.
