Bus Crash Near Baltimore Injures Over 30

More than 30 individuals sustained injuries on Wednesday when a public bus collided with a building near Baltimore, Maryland. Authorities reported that one critically injured person was extracted and taken to a hospital.

First responders arrived at the scene after the Maryland Transit Administration bus crash on Reisterstown Road in Pikesville, as reported by Fox 45 News. Baltimore County officials noted that the incident involved “numerous civilian vehicles,” with one vehicle overturning.

The crash involved several civilian vehicles, and one overturned, as reported by authorities. Two individuals were trapped, one inside the bus and another in a car, and were subsequently rescued by emergency crews.

The Baltimore County Fire Department mentioned that a building engineer was dispatched to the crash site to assess the situation. A second mass casualty incident alarm was issued shortly after the initial crash.

Maryland Governor Wes Moore stated that he was monitoring developments and expressed his support for those affected. “Dawn and I are keeping everyone impacted in our hearts and prayers. We are deeply grateful for our first responders who acted with speed and skill to ensure the safety of our neighbors,” he posted on X. He also emphasized the close coordination with local officials to provide necessary support.

The Maryland State Highway Administration reported that roads near the crash site were closed as crews worked at the scene. Authorities advised drivers to seek alternate routes.
