Celebrations Amidst Heat Wave: America’s 250th Anniversary

As the United States endured a severe heat wave, celebrations for the nation’s 250th anniversary persisted. Despite the sweltering temperatures affecting much of the country, festivities went on as Americans marked the Fourth of July.

Even as the country prepared to honor its historic milestone on Saturday, political divisions continued. However, the immediate challenge was the oppressive heat. Many events faced disruptions.
