Introduction of TNA Knockouts Television Championship

The Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) organization has announced the introduction of a new championship title, the Knockouts Television Championship. This announcement was made during the Slammiversary event in Boston.

Hall of Famer Traci Brooks introduced the championship following Elayna Black’s victory over Indi Hartwell and Mara Sadè in the pre-show competition. Her presence on the ramp signaled the start of the event’s festivities.

“The TNA Knockouts, over two decades, have changed the landscape of pro wrestling,” stated Brooks. “We started the women’s revolution, shattered glass ceilings, rewrote the rules, and consistently demonstrated why we deserve the main stage. Now, we’re set to make history once again.”

The upcoming tournament, starting Thursday night, will feature 16 women competing for the first-ever TNA Knockouts Television Champion title. The championship belt prominently displays the letters “KO” and “TV” in purple and black.

The participants of the tournament remain undisclosed. However, Elayna Black, Indi Hartwell, and Mara Sadè, who participated in the pre-show event, are potential contenders as the tournament kicks off on “Impact” television.

Brooks added, “This championship will be defended exclusively on ‘Impact’ television. It’s another chance for the knockouts to prove they are the top women’s division in pro wrestling. Ladies, let’s make history.”

Currently, TNA holds six active championships, with the Knockouts TV Championship marking its seventh addition. This move underlines the progressive development and expansion of women’s professional wrestling within the organization.
