Jane Seymour, known for her vibrant energy, shares her approach to fitness at 75. Her routine focuses on movement, moderation, and self-awareness. She avoids yoga, citing her competitive nature, joking that she would try to outdo everyone in class.
Fitness Routine
The ‘Harry Wild’ star includes a mix of activities in her routine. Seymour performs light weight training, walks regularly, often incorporating fast walking or hill climbing. She practices Pilates and Gyrotonics, and when unavailable, she turns to sit-ups and ballet exercises.
Well, fitness, I try to do a combination of light weights, some walking, fast walking if I can, or up and down a hill. I do Pilates and Gyrotonics, or if I can’t do any of that, I do the usual thing, the sort of sit-ups and some ballet exercises.
Returning to her ballet roots, Seymour enjoys a full barre workout. She follows a Mediterranean diet, moderates starch intake, and limits alcohol, especially when filming.
Mindful Fitness
Seymour emphasizes understanding personal limits over following trends. In group classes, especially yoga, she acknowledges her A-type personality, avoiding competition to prevent injury.
Ever-Present Energy
Seymour’s friend and former co-star, Joe Lando, attests to her boundless energy. Their longstanding friendship, which began on the set of ‘Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,’ continues as they reunite for ‘Harry Wild’ Season 5.
This inexhaustible flipping energy. She just goes, goes and goes.
Even during demanding filming schedules, Seymour maintains her stamina, driven by her passion for her work. She credits her legendary endurance to enjoying her endeavors, balancing work with adequate rest.
‘Harry Wild’ Season 5 streams exclusively on Acorn TV, featuring Seymour both as the star and an executive producer.
