Ashley Cooke Discusses Life with Brugada Syndrome

1 week ago 0

Country music singer Ashley Cooke has shared her experience with Brugada syndrome, a rare and potentially fatal heart condition. In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Cooke opened up about the diagnosis and its impact on her life. Preparing for her Baby Blues World Tour, she revealed the seriousness of this genetic heart issue.

Brugada syndrome can cause sudden cardiac arrest without any warning, which makes it particularly frightening. Cooke, who is 29, described receiving the diagnosis as ‘scary’ due to the absence of symptoms until an emergency occurs. ‘You just have to go get tested for it and hope for the best,’ she shared, acknowledging the unpredictability of the condition.

Cooke recounted her cousin’s advice, who also has the condition, encouraging her to live life fully. ‘If you believe in God, your time is your time no matter what,’ he said. ‘So whether it’s this or something else, just live your life, treat people well, and hope for the best.’

This perspective has inspired Cooke to find greater purpose in her daily life. She tries to live each day as though it could be her last, a reminder that none of us know when our time on Earth will end.

Ashley Cooke has quickly risen as a notable figure in country music. Her career breakthrough came with hits like ‘Never Til Now,’ a duet with Brett Young, and ‘Your Place.’ On August 14, her self-titled sophomore album is set to release, which will be supported by her international 28-date Baby Blues World Tour. Excited about the future, she anticipates this tour to be a defining season of her life, one in which she fulfills her long-held dream of headlining shows.

The upcoming tour is also a personal milestone. Cooke expressed joy at performing in venues she has aspired to for years. Her latest album features music that she’s exceptionally proud of, and she looks forward to fans learning the lyrics and joining in the concerts.
