Shakira delivered the tournament’s official song “Dai Dai” alongside Burna Boy. The Colombian artist is known for her hit “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)” from the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and continues to excite audiences with her music. Shakira shared that a great World Cup song must have a compelling rhythm that inspires people to dance and sing together.
Previously, Shakira performed at the World Cups in 2006, 2010, and 2014. She will return to the World Cup stage for a halftime show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19, sharing the stage with Madonna and BTS.

Actress Salma Hayek, an appointed ambassador for the 2026 World Cup, welcomed the event with her enthusiasm for soccer and expressed the pride of hosting the opening match in Mexico. She delivered her message in Spanish, honoring the spirit of the occasion.
