FBI Partners with UFC for Unique Training Event on White House Grounds

The FBI recently collaborated with the UFC to provide hand-to-hand combat training to approximately 300 federal agents. This initiative was part of the lead-up to an extraordinary sporting event taking place on White House grounds.

FBI Director Kash Patel highlighted this partnership in a video released on Wednesday. He emphasized the importance of these training sessions in preparing agents to effectively protect American citizens. “Thanks to the great partnership with @ufc, we’ve seen about 300 agents come through and learn amazing tactics,” Patel shared on X, accompanied by footage from the sessions.

The FBI’s Rapid Response team expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. They shared video content while praising the unity between UFC athletes and federal agents. This partnership was made possible through the relationship between UFC chief Dana White and Director Patel.

Notably, UFC lightweight contender Justin Gaethje participated in the training sessions, which took place at the Special Agent Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Footage from Wednesday also showed Gaethje practicing at FBI Headquarters as part of his preparation for a title fight against Ilia Topuria at the UFC Freedom 250 event.

In recent weeks, President Donald Trump met with UFC fighters Ilia Topuria, Justin Gaethje, and Ciryl Gane in the Oval Office. This meeting was part of preparations for the UFC Freedom 250 match, scheduled for June 14 outside the White House.

The event will see fighters using the Eisenhower Executive Office Building as their prep area before entering “The Claw,” a massive Octagon set up on the South Lawn. To add excitement, Travis Pastrana plans to perform a surprise stunt to kick off the main card broadcast. A teaser video from Dana White suggests a possible backflip over the South Lawn using a dirt bike.

Combining agent training with UFC fighter collaboration and a unique UFC event on White House territory represents a remarkable turning point. This once-unlikely scenario has now become a highly anticipated weekend event.
