1 month ago 0

“Today” show host Savannah Guthrie and her siblings have released a heartfelt video, urgently requesting the safe return of their missing mother, Nancy Guthrie. In a poignant message shared on Instagram this Saturday, Guthrie expressed their willingness to pay for her mother’s release, stating, “We received your message and we understand. We beg you now to return our mother to us so we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.”

Nancy Guthrie, 84, has been missing since January 31, and authorities suspect she may have been abducted from her home. In the video, Savannah Guthrie, joined by her siblings Annie and Camron, made an emotional appeal, emphasizing their desperation and readiness to meet demands for her return.

The video, which was recorded at an undisclosed location and disseminated on February 7, 2026, underscores the urgency felt by the Guthrie family in the face of their mother’s disappearance. Meanwhile, Pima County Sheriff’s Department has acknowledged the video but announced that there is no new information currently available to share with the public, as per their statement to ABC News.

The message referenced by Savannah in her Instagram video is reportedly the same one that the FBI and Pima Sheriff’s Department have been investigating since Friday. While the authorities are diligently working to verify its authenticity, they have not yet confirmed any connection to the ransom notes addressed concerning Nancy Guthrie.

Efforts to locate Nancy Guthrie continue, with evidence collected from her Tucson home, where a forensic search was conducted on February 6, 2026. Unfortunately, no new leads have surfaced as of yet, in line with a statement from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

The FBI has issued a $50,000 reward for any information leading to Nancy Guthrie’s recovery and the apprehension and conviction of those responsible for her disappearance.

Nancy Guthrie was last seen on January 31, in the Catalina Foothills area north of Tucson, Arizona, after spending an evening dining with her family. The following day, her absence at church raised alarm, resulting in a missing person report.

Investigators continue to piece together the timeline of events, noting critical incidents like the disconnection of the doorbell camera around 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning and an alert from her pacemaker app signaling its disconnection shortly before 2:30 a.m. Additionally, blood discovered on the porch has intensified the investigation, although no potential suspects have been identified yet, according to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos.

The FBI is handling numerous ransom notes delivered to both local and national media outlets, and Savannah Guthrie and her family have repeatedly reached out, pleading for any proof of life from potential captors.

Authorities remain committed to resolving the case and urge anyone with information to come forward. The Guthrie family continues to broadcast messages in hopes of reaching those holding their mother.
