Olympic skier Ryan Cochran-Siegle has added another medal to Team USA’s accolades, securing a silver in the alpine skiing men’s super-G event on Wednesday. Cochran-Siegle clocked an impressive time of 1:25.45, finishing just 0.13 seconds behind Switzerland’s Franjo von Allmen, who claimed his third gold at the Milan Cortina Games. Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt completed the podium by taking home the bronze medal.

United States’ Ryan Cochran Siegle showed remarkable skill and determination as he raced down the course in Bormio, Italy, during the men’s super-G race at the 2026 Winter Olympics. The event, held on February 11, 2026, marked his second Olympic medal, replicating his silver medal performance in the same event at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. Cochran-Siegle’s Olympic journey began in 2018 at Pyeongchang, where he finished 14th in the super-G. Earlier at the current Games, he placed 18th in the downhill event.

Meanwhile, fellow American skiers Sam Morse, Kyle Negomir, and River Radamus also participated in the super-G. Morse concluded the event in 23rd place with a time of 1:27.12, and Negomir finished 26th at 1:28.62. Unfortunately, Radamus was unable to complete the course after slipping and losing his position, showing evident frustration as he made his way toward officials on the slope.

Cochran-Siegle hails from Vermont and is affiliated with the Mount Mansfield skiing club. He made his World Cup debut at the age of 19 and, despite consistent performances, had not previously finished better than seventh in the super-G throughout his career. With his events wrapped up for this Olympic season, he will now support his fellow Team USA skiers for the remaining competitions.

As the super-G winner, Franjo von Allmen celebrated his victory on the podium with silver medalist Ryan Cochran Siegle and bronze medalist Marco Odermatt. Cochran-Siegle’s accomplishment adds to the overall excitement and achievements of the Winter Games in Bormio.

Kyle Negomir will participate in the giant slalom and team combined events later in these Games, with Ryder Sarchett also competing in the giant slalom. In the team combined event, Negomir and Radamus concluded their run in 18th place.
