Gordon Ramsay’s Non-Negotiable Lessons at Home

Gordon Ramsay is known for his intense personality on TV, but at home, he prioritizes respect and manners. During the FOX Upfront 2026 event, Ramsay shared that teaching his six children manners is the most important lesson, highlighting that they cost nothing yet mean everything in life.

The Ramsay family includes Megan, Jack, Holly, Matilda (known as Tilly), Oscar, and Jesse. Despite his fame and success in restaurants, television, and social media, Ramsay ensures entitlement does not burgeon in his household. His children are thriving in various areas—Jack serving as a Royal Marine commando, Megan as a police officer, Holly pursuing fashion, and Tilly studying for a degree.

Ramsay’s wife, Tana, emphasized their big-family upbringing as key in managing life with six children. Ramsay admits he loses patience in the kitchen, particularly when seasoning is left to the end. He stresses that seasoning should be part of the entire cooking process.

Ramsay remains driven by the chaos of competition television, finding excitement in the diverse mix of contestants. FOX has renewed several of his shows, including “Kitchen Nightmares,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service,” “Next Level Baker,” and “Next Level Chef.”
