The women-focused website Jezebel recently faced criticism from former staff for removing a number of its articles, many of which had provocative headlines. This decision drew significant backlash.
William Sagan, publisher of Paste Magazine, which acquired Jezebel in 2023, explained in emails that the articles were temporarily taken offline. He stated the removal was necessary to address grammatical errors or technical issues.
Following a report by the Washington Post, Jezebel has restored over 100 articles to its site. The website has long been recognized as a key platform in the feminist digital space.
