Dear Eric,
My husband and I have been blessed to receive inheritances from our parents. We are now comfortably retired, thanks to our hard work and prudent financial habits. This additional money stands as a generous gift rather than a necessity.
With this newfound financial freedom, I have a strong desire to enhance both my life and the lives of my friends. Simple gestures such as taking care of the check during meals or covering the costs of vacation accommodations are ways I consider achieving this.
However, I am aware of potential awkwardness. My aim is to create enjoyable experiences without discomfort.
