Brock Purdy, the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, has been performing at a high level as the 2026 NFL regular season begins.
During the 49ers’ impressive 3-0 start, Purdy completed 72.3% of his pass attempts, totaling 789 yards. He leads the league with nine touchdowns and has thrown only one interception. Purdy also contributed 93 yards and an additional touchdown on the ground.
In Week 3’s win over the Arizona Cardinals, Purdy recorded 297 passing yards and four touchdowns. On Thursday, the NFL recognized his exceptional performance by naming him the NFC Offensive Player of the Month.
“Hit the Dougie one time,” the 49ers expressed in reaction to the announcement.
The 49ers are currently at the top of the NFC West, ahead of the 2-1 Seattle Seahawks, 1-2 Los Angeles Rams, and 1-2 Arizona Cardinals.
Veteran linebacker Fred Warner praised Purdy, saying, “Brock is amazing. The offense is humming right now. It’s our job as a defense to make sure that we handle our business.”
The team looks to maintain their winning streak in the upcoming Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos.
