Plymouth, Mass. — The lone juror who maintained his stance in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial has finally spoken directly to the public. Michael Desronvil, who had been at odds with the other 11 jurors, gave his statement on Fox News’ ‘Hannity.’
In his remarks, Desronvil emphasized the importance of remembering the children involved, saying, “The whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels. The ones that can’t speak for themselves, the ones that can’t defend themselves, and the ones that can’t fight the battles — and those are Cora, Dawson, and Callan.”
Desronvil expressed gratitude for his faith and those who supported him. “I want to thank God for my Catholic faith,” he said. “I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to love my daughter. And foremost, I would like to thank everyone, every individual, that has supported me throughout this difficult situation.”
Throughout the trial, Desronvil’s statements were released through his attorney, Edward Paltzik, often defending against claims from other jurors. Allegations had surfaced about his reluctance to declare Clancy’s guilt despite doubts, which Desronvil denied. His lawyer stated emphatically, “Michael has zero doubt.”
Desronvil also addressed accusations of past domestic violence, which his attorney asserted were entirely false. Amid ongoing disputes between lawyers, Desronvil’s legal representation continues to deny all allegations, emphasizing their inaccuracy.
As the trial progresses, Lindsay Clancy is expected to appear in court for a status conference. Prosecutors plan to outline their approach for a new trial, while the defense seeks dismissal of charges and investigation into juror allegations against Desronvil.
