A woman has taken legal action by filing a civil lawsuit against Cornell University along with seven members of the Chi Phi fraternity. The lawsuit alleges that she was a victim of a “gang rape” occurring at the fraternity house.
District Attorney’s Response
Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten has confirmed his initiation of criminal charges against the seven accused individuals. The District Attorney’s office plans to present the case to a grand jury, resuming the pursuit of justice in this matter.
