Country Singer Brian Duckworth Passes Away at 56

Country singer Brian “Nashville” Duckworth has passed away at the age of 56. His family announced his death, which occurred at his home on September 7. Duckworth was not only a musician but also a devoted dump truck driver for Wolfe’s Excavating, earning him the nickname “Truck Boss” due to his dedication and enjoyment of the job.

Music played a significant role in Duckworth’s life. He loved singing and proudly performed with his family band, Taylor Made. He earned the affectionate nickname ‘Nashville’ for his passion for music.

“Above all, Brian treasured his family and the special memories they created together,” stated the family obituary. “He also dearly loved his faithful fur family, who were constant companions and brought him great comfort and happiness. Brian’s love of family, music, and the outdoors will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.”

Duckworth grew up singing with his brother, Greg, and sister, Wendy Williams. In 2008, they formed the band I-79, performing under that name at the Colgate Country Showdown. The band later became known as Taylor Made, achieving success with songs like “Things You Don’t Grow Out Of,” which reached No. 36 on the Billboard Indicator chart.

Brian Duckworth is survived by his wife of nearly 16 years, Tina, six children—Zach, Ashton, Logan, Kayla, Michael, and Matt—as well as four grandchildren and five siblings. His niece, Brianna Duckworth Kazner, honored him with a video from her wedding, noting it was “the last time Taylor Made sang together.”

Kazner shared her admiration of Duckworth’s songwriting skills, often seeking his help when she faced creative challenges.

“As I’ve gotten older and started writing my own music, I knew the guy to call whenever I got creatively ‘stuck.’ He truly had such a way with song lyrics,” Kazner wrote.

A cause of death has not been stated. A service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Garden on Monday to honor his memory.
