Fan Incident at Yankee Stadium During Mets vs. Yankees Game

On the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, a fan waving a Palestinian flag disrupted a baseball game between the Mets and Yankees at Yankee Stadium. The incident occurred at 9:11 p.m. Eastern Time, coinciding with the symbolic date. The fan emerged from the left-field seats and sprinted towards center field, successfully evading several police officers and stadium security for a brief moment.

Security personnel tackled and detained the individual on the outfield grass. Fans seated near the New York Mets’ bullpen responded to the incident by hurling beer cans and chanting “USA” as the fan was escorted out beyond the center-field wall. The Yankees have chosen not to issue a statement on the incident.
