Instagram Mix-Up: Tua Tagovailoa’s Comment Sparks Buzz

Atlanta Falcons quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, recently found himself at the center of an Instagram mishap that caught public attention. The incident revolves around him apparently commenting on his own Instagram post, which led to widespread jokes among fans and media commentators.

The post featured a carousel of images showcasing Tagovailoa’s preseason action with his new team, coupled with a caption reading ‘For the A.’ When a comment from @tuaman, the handle belonging to Tagovailoa, appeared saying, ‘We’re so proud of you!! You got this.’, it quickly vanished. However, Barstool Sports and other media outlets captured a screenshot before the deletion, prompting speculation and humor-filled responses, as many believed Tagovailoa had inadvertently used his primary account rather than a secondary or ‘burner’ one.

The situation was clarified when Tagovailoa’s wife, Annah Gore, intervened by admitting her mistake in commenting. She explained how she had been occupied with the children, inadvertently posting from the quarterback’s account instead. Annah’s comment on the Instagram post stated, ‘No burner account! I was busy with the kids this morning and forgot to switch back to my account.. He’s busy at work as he’s said he doesn’t have social media and I post on his behalf! Will pay more attention next time.’

The couple’s personal life has also been a topic of public interest. Tagovailoa married Gore in July 2022, in a private ceremony. They have two children, a son named Ace and a daughter named Maisey, and recently shared that they are expecting a third child.

Currently, Tagovailoa is focused on his football career with the Falcons. A decision is pending for him or Michael Penix Jr. to be named as the starting quarterback for the beginning of the NFL season. During a preseason game against Miami Dolphins, where Tagovailoa once played, he managed to complete 7 out of 8 passes, contributing 95 yards to a 17-12 victory. The Falcons are preparing to meet the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 13, with expectations high for the announcement of the team’s starting quarterback. Head coach Kevin Stefanski, football president Matt Ryan, team owner Arthur Blank, and general manager Ian Cunningham are involved in the decision.
