A military judge has dismissed some parts of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s confession regarding his involvement in the September 11, 2001 attacks. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, believed to be the chief architect behind these attacks, has been detained at Guantánamo Bay since 2003.
According to reports from the New York Post, Lt. Col. Michael Schrama, the military judge, determined that Mohammed’s statements to investigators made in 2007 were not delivered voluntarily. This decision may impact the prolonged effort to bring the alleged plotter to trial.
