Small Plane Crash in Alaska Claims Four Lives

A tragic aircraft accident occurred near Seldovia, Alaska on Wednesday. State authorities have reported that four people lost their lives when a small plane crashed.

The Piper PA-24 aircraft had taken off from Anchorage and was nearing Seldovia airport at the time of the crash. It went down in Seldovia Slough close to the shoreline. The plane ended up submerged about 15 feet underwater, causing Alaska State Troopers and other emergency teams to wait until the tide receded to access the wreckage.

Rescue teams recovered all four bodies from the aircraft, and they have been declared dead. The authorities have not yet disclosed their identities, as they are still informing the families.

The reason for the crash is unknown at this time. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is currently conducting an investigation. This crash is the second fatal aviation incident in Alaska within a week.
