New details have emerged about the deadly shooting at Seattle’s Bite of Seattle festival, based on recently obtained 911 calls. These recordings provide insight into the urgent response of first responders as they arrived to help multiple victims.
A caller, who was shot in the back, told the dispatcher, “I’m losing blood.” The caller was unsure who had fired the shots. Responders quickly engaged with the caller and others in the vicinity.
“I don’t know who did it. I took cover. I see the officers down here,” the caller said.
The dispatcher tried to comfort the wounded caller, urging them to remain calm and breathe while awaiting assistance. Shortly after, the caller mentioned the presence of an officer.
Other emergency communications captured dispatchers and responders as they assessed the situation near the Seattle Center Armory. A dispatcher confirmed multiple victims, stating, “Multiple people down at this point,” when asked about the incident’s scope.
The chaos prompted another dispatcher to request additional aid, noting at least two confirmed injuries, “but more than that” were expected. Crews treated the scene as active while verifying safety for emergency responders.
Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson announced that a suspect is in custody following the event on July 26, 2026. The shooting resulted in two deaths and several injuries. Data from police indicated six confirmed gunshot wounds.
