As of mid-week, mentions continued to climb, reaching 318 on CNN and over 400 on MS NOW.

CNN and MS NOW have devoted considerable attention to Harp’s relationship with Trump. Reports include Harp’s written communications expressing unwavering loyalty to Trump and her participation in Trump’s covert trip from Turkey. There are discussions of Harp’s lack of security clearance despite her proximity to Trump, as well as her social media activity showing strong support for him on January 6.

The media frenzy extends to personal details, such as CNN interviewing Harp’s estranged brother, Preston Harp. This segment has sparked conservative backlash, accusing CNN of exploiting Harp’s personal life for political motives. Additionally, Curtis Houck of Media Research Center criticized CNN and MS NOW, asserting their coverage stems from opposition to Trump and involves dragging others’ reputations down.

The White House condemned Sen. Ossoff’s comment, defending both Harp and their administration against the controversy. Their critique of CNN correspondent Kristen Holmes for questioning Trump about the Ossoff incident led to CNN’s defense of Holmes, emphasizing professional integrity.

CNN and MS NOW have yet to respond to requests for comments regarding the issue. The ongoing coverage underscores the media’s role in political discourse and its impact on individuals involved.
