In Loudoun County, Virginia, a 1,500-pound male bison broke loose from its enclosure, prompting animal services officers to take action. On Monday morning, the bison wandered away from its farm after stepping past a broken fence. This incident occurred in a region known not for wildlife but for its high density of data centers, located about 50 miles from Washington, D.C.
Three animal control officers dedicated six hours to convincing the massive animal to return to its owner. The escape took the bison into the less developed areas of western Loudoun County, creating an unusual scene for this suburban region.
