JD Vance Critiques Political Figures in Viral TikTok Video

In a recent TikTok video, Vice President JD Vance shared candid opinions on several well-known figures in politics. The rapid-fire video featured Vance labeling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., as a ‘communist,’ while he described Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., as ‘lame’ and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani as ‘crazy.’

During the video, Vance responded to the names of Democrats, Trump administration officials, and others appearing on a screen, offering a range of reactions from positive to critical. He seemed unimpressed by far-left politicians, calling Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer ‘cranky’ and Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed ‘odd.’

The TikTok post, which went live on Thursday, quickly attracted over 70,000 views. Among Vance’s sharpest assessments was Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., whom he dismissed as ‘irrelevant.’

Vance reserved more positive remarks for members of the Trump administration. He praised outgoing White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt as ‘awesome,’ deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller as ‘hardcore,’ and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles as ‘tough.’ Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was noted as ‘interesting,’ Secretary of State Marco Rubio as ‘funny,’ and House Speaker Mike Johnson as ‘kind.’

Vance, known for critiquing certain far-left policies, opted for no comment when Democratic Socialists of America leader Megan Romer was mentioned. The video then humorously cut to a ‘two minutes later’ screen before revisiting Vance’s comments on Schiff.

President Donald Trump was portrayed in a positive light by Vance, who described him as ‘generous.’ The video offered an informal look at Vance’s relations with administration figures and provided an opportunity for him to critique prominent far-left Democrats and democratic socialists.
