1 day ago 0

Amy Schumer, the renowned comedian, recently showcased the outcome of her weight loss. She posted a series of bikini photos on Instagram over the weekend, confidently posing in a vibrant two-piece swimsuit by the water. The 45-year-old looked relaxed and content, leaving her fans a glimpse into her summer retreat.

Schumer captioned the photos, “I never knew there would be days like this. No filter as per ushe.” Friends and followers quickly praised her, with actress Kate Walsh commenting, “So beautiful, Amy. Happy and thriving,” and another simply noting, “Gorgeous.” Over the past two years, Schumer has been transparent about her changing relationship with her health and body, documenting the challenges and triumphs of her weight-loss journey.

In October, Schumer unveiled a significant transformation through a picture she shared on social media. The image, taken at a Paul McCartney concert in Las Vegas, showed her in a small black dress and heels with two companions. Support came pouring in from friends and fans who appreciated her progress.

In March 2025, Schumer discussed the impact of using Mounjaro (or tirzepatide) in a video she posted on Instagram to her nearly 13 million followers. She shared, “I wanted to keep it real with you,” explaining that three years prior, she tried Wegovy and experienced severe nausea. “I couldn’t handle it,” she said. “I went on a telehealth meeting with MidiHealth, and it was affordable. I wanted to try it for myself because I wanted to recommend it to my friends who are like nurses and teachers.” Schumer also began a hormone routine, noting that estrogen and progesterone helped alleviate her perimenopausal symptoms.

Finding an effective strategy took time. During a talk on “The Howard Stern Show,” Schumer described her tough experiences with weight-loss medications. She explained, “I have this gene – GDF15 – making me extremely prone to nausea, which explains my severe sickness during pregnancy.” She tried Ozempic about three years ago, leading to quick weight loss but severe fatigue. “I lost 30 pounds so quickly,” she elaborated. Despite looking great, the lack of energy was unbearable.

Schumer has consistently voiced her views on body image and the pressures Hollywood imposes on women. She often uses humor to tackle criticisms about her looks while encouraging others to emphasize health over unrealistic beauty norms.

In February 2024, she disclosed a Cushing syndrome diagnosis after followers questioned the swelling in her face. This diagnosis led doctors to the underlying cause, which she saw as a positive turn. Schumer has also been frank about living with endometriosis and undergoing a hysterectomy in 2021, sharing health updates to promote open discussions around women’s medical issues.
