Recent Developments in Nancy Guthrie’s Disappearance

Six months have passed since Nancy Guthrie vanished from her Tucson residence. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department recently disclosed two alleged ransom notes, hoping the unique language or phrasing within might be recognized by someone.

“There are a number of pieces of information in these notes that might jar someone to say, ‘I’ve heard that,’ or recognize the style,” Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos commented in a video interview.

Investigation Efforts

The authorship of the notes remains uncertain. Sheriff Nanos confirmed that investigators are diligently reviewing extensive leads, including thousands of tips, videos, and forensic clues in the ongoing search for Guthrie, who is the 84-year-old mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie.

“It’s very active,” Nanos noted, emphasizing the considerable amount of work yet to be completed.

Savannah Guthrie’s children have publicly implored anyone who can help identify the kidnappers after the ransom notes were released. A photograph of Nancy Guthrie shared by Savannah Guthrie on Instagram underscores the family’s appeal for assistance.
