Authorities in California are actively searching for two 9-year-old children believed to have been abducted by their father, expressing concern for their safety.

Solomon Sukonick and Marozhina Sukonick were reportedly taken by their father, David Sukonick, on Thursday. They were last seen around 8 p.m. near the 1000 block of West Avenue J-8 in Lancaster, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“Concern for their well-being” is paramount, as stated in a news release by the sheriff’s department.

Witnesses saw Solomon and Marozhina traveling in a black 2011 Lincoln Town Car with license plate SOLOYST.

• Marozhina Sukonick: She is a 9-year-old White girl, standing 4 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 90 pounds. Her features include brown hair and brown eyes. She was last spotted wearing pink shorts and a white shirt.
• Solomon Sukonick: He is described similarly, as a White boy with the same height and weight as Marozhina. He has brown hair and brown eyes, wearing blue shorts at the time of disappearance. The color of his shirt is unknown.

David Sukonick, their father, is characterized as a 71-year-old White male. He stands 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
