Charles Snowden Suspended for Three Games Following DUI Arrest

Dallas Cowboys’ linebacker Charles Snowden will miss the first three games of the 2026 NFL season. This decision comes from the NFL’s transactional wire, confirmed by a spokesperson due to Snowden’s DUI arrest in 2024. He recently reached a plea agreement.

Snowden’s suspension will include games against the New York Giants, Washington Commanders, and Baltimore Ravens. He is, however, permitted to participate in preseason activities alongside the team while the suspension begins after roster finalization.

The 28-year-old linebacker entered a plea deal for his 2024 DUI arrest in January, pleading no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge. As part of the resolution, he must pay a $1,000 fine and attend coroner’s and DUI programs. Completion of these terms will reduce the charge to reckless driving.

Earlier this offseason, Snowden joined the Cowboys as a free agent after showcasing his talent during a minicamp tryout. He began his NFL journey as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears in 2021 but only saw action in two games over his first couple of seasons.

In 2024 and 2025, Snowden played with the Las Vegas Raiders. His performance in 2025 included three sacks, 28 combined tackles, five tackles for loss, and one interception across 15 games, with nine as a starter.
