Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) made an exciting announcement at the Slammiversary event on Sunday. Traci Brooks, a respected TNA legend, informed fans in Boston that a 16-woman tournament would be held. The purpose of this tournament is to establish the first Knockouts TV champion, with matches starting on ‘Impact’ this Thursday.
The tournament will feature both new and familiar faces to TNA fans. The left side of the bracket includes matches such as Indi Hartwell vs. Vicki Venuto, Harley Hudson vs. Thea Hail, Elayna Black vs. Wendy Choo, and M by Elegance vs. Rosemary. On the other side, Jade Stone faces Alisha Edwards, Jody Threat takes on Gabby Forza, Mara Sadé battles Tasha Steelz, and Heather by Elegance meets Allie.
Matches from this thrilling tournament will air exclusively on AMC Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
In recent events, Heather by Elegance and Allie faced off at Slammiversary for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship. Allie and Rosemary emerged victorious over Heather and M by Elegance. As the tournament unfolds, Heather by Elegance will again compete against Allie, and Sadé will take on Steelz in another high-profile match.
A variety of compelling matches are lined up for ‘Impact’, including Leon Slater vs. Eddie Edwards and Ryan Nemeth vs. KC Navarro. Additionally, the X Division Championship No. 1 contenders match will feature Fabian Aichner, Mr. Elegance, BDE, Rich Swann, and Home Town Man.
