2 days ago 0

Alberto Carvalho, the head of the Los Angeles Unified School District, resigned from his position months after authorities searched his home and the district’s headquarters. Before his resignation, Carvalho was on paid leave since February.

The search took place on February 25, and Carvalho was placed on leave shortly after. He had been in charge of overseeing the district since 2022, managing the educational needs of approximately 520,000 students.

Carvalho’s departure marks a significant leadership change for the country’s second-largest school district amid ongoing investigations.
