Baltimore Event Aims to Reframe Fatherhood

3 days ago 0

In Baltimore, a recent gathering sought to challenge stereotypes associated with fatherhood and provide resource connections for dads. This event, held at Cylburn Arboretum, featured a stroller walk led by Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott and City Council member Paris Gray.

Sean Branch Jr., one of the participants, pushed his three-week-old son in a stroller along the arboretum’s picturesque, tree-lined paths. A pleasant breeze helped temper the warm air as he enjoyed the walk. On this occasion, he donned a black shirt emblazoned with purple lettering: ‘My First Father’s Day.’

The event aimed not only to support fathers in Baltimore but also to promote a positive image of fatherhood, encouraging engagement and active participation in their children’s lives.
