Dolce & Gabbana showcased a unique menswear collection at Milan Fashion Week, designed to tackle both the city’s intense heat wave and a Sicilian beach getaway. The lineup featured models in seaside-inspired attire, including laser-cut suits, short shorts, and airy knitwear.
The designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana crafted an evocative setting with video imagery of a rocky coastline during sunset. The models navigated among columns reminiscent of a Mediterranean terrace, adorned in swimwear and silk pajamas that reflect the locale’s laid-back elegance.
As the collection progressed, the offerings became more dynamic with pieces like laser-cut suits, tunics, and wide-leg trousers. These garments provide comfort in warm temperatures and facilitate a seamless shift from urban workdays to leisure-filled weekends by the sea. A noteworthy accessory included in the collection is a large travel bag, made from leather, suede, and raffia.
Short shorts accentuated the models’ athletic legs, while loose-knit garments highlighted their physiques. Suit jackets stood out with distinctive upright lapels and novel details at the back, such as panels that could be unbuttoned to improve airflow. The brand’s commitment to craftsmanship shone through in meticulously woven leather jackets matched by intricately woven footwear.
Dolce & Gabbana integrated their hallmark embellishments, like rhinestones on denim alongside refined coral beading on suits, shirts, and trousers. The collection also embraced religious themes, presenting cross necklaces akin to rosaries and icon-style prints on T-shirts.
The presentation concluded with an array of models clad in all-white ensembles, embodying a crisp and quintessentially summer aesthetic.
Notable attendees in the front row included celebrated Polish soccer player Robert Lewandowski, two-time NBA champion Kawhi Leonard, Italian actor Michele Morrone known from Netflix’s “365 Days”, and K-pop sensation Soobin.
