The search continues for Elena Katherine Moore, a 39-year-old fitness trainer from South Carolina, who vanished after leaving a gym. Moore was last seen on the night of June 11 at a Planet Fitness in Lexington. Her husband, Brannon Slice, reported her missing the following day.
The Lexington Police Department, represented by Inspector Missy Silcox, stated early Wednesday that Moore had not yet been located. As of late Tuesday, there was no sign of foul play, and Mr. Slice is not considered a person of interest. Private investigator Harry Dukes from Dukes Investigations & Consulting confirmed Slice’s cooperation with the investigation.
Police previously released new photographs on Tuesday showing Moore walking through a Publix parking lot after leaving the gym. She wore an olive-green hoodie and black athletic pants and appeared to be heading toward Old Cherokee Road. Additional footage from a doorbell camera, taken a week before her disappearance, was also shared.
Moore, a personal trainer at Wolf’s Fitness Center in Lexington, has prompted the facility to provide all needed information to authorities. Moore’s friend, Lauren Beasley, last heard from her about a month ago. Beasley reported that Moore did not mention anything significant about her personal life. Beasley expressed concern about Moore’s unusual absence from social media, considering her typically active online presence.
Dukes Investigations & Consulting has offered a $1,500 reward for information about Moore’s whereabouts. Company officials have encouraged residents to review their security footage for any sightings.
“Mrs. Elena Katherine Moore has now been missing for six days,” company officials posted on Facebook.
Harry Dukes shared with NewsNation that the recent photos could assist the investigation, though they don’t fully explain Moore’s actions just before her disappearance. He emphasized her passion for fitness and noted that walking was a usual activity for her. Dukes described Moore’s husband as ‘distraught’ over her disappearance.
If Moore is in the city, Dukes is hopeful someone will notice her and advised people to report any sightings. Moore is about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs roughly 120 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.
