As summer arrives, the television and streaming schedule promises exciting returns and intriguing new shows. Familiar favorites make a comeback, while fresh stories aim to capture viewers’ attention.

Ted Lasso returns in August, bringing back characters such as Brendan Hunt, Jason Sudeikis, and Tanya Reynolds. This popular show gears up to deliver more of its captivating narrative.

Slow Horses and The Bear also return, with The Bear serving its final season.

The Westies presents a tension-filled drama as J.K. Simmons and Titus Welliver engage in a compelling showdown.

AfroPop Documentary Series

The documentary anthology Afropop: The Ultimate Cultural Exchange returns for an 18th season.

Despite funding cuts from Congress, it showcases compelling stories, starting with a piece on Black maternal healthcare titled Listen to Me. Another highlight, This World Is Not My Own, explores art through the lens of Nellie Mae Rowe, portrayed by Uzo Aduba.

Sugar Season 2
