Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner is prepared to deliver a speech on Tuesday night as he accepts the Democratic nomination. According to a copy of the speech obtained by The Post, Platner aims to turn his campaign into a referendum on President Trump.
During a recent campaign town hall meeting in Portland, Maine, held on June 7, Platner received a handmade card from an audience member. The card read, “We Are Your Grahamily and We’ve Got Your Back.” This gesture highlights the support and connection Platner is building with his supporters.
Platner intends to clearly outline his strategy for the upcoming general election against incumbent Sen. Susan Collins. His campaign will likely take a sharply negative tone as he seeks to decrease Collins’ support among both independents and Democrats in Maine.
